President: Iran Rejects Language of Force
“The Iran-US talks, which were held in light of requests from friendly governments in the region, were a step forward. Dialogue has always been our strategy for a peaceful resolution. Our logic in the nuclear issue centers on the rights enshrined in the NPT,” Pezeshkian wrote on X on Sunday.

The most recent round of indirect nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States were held on Friday in Muscat with Oman mediating the talks.

Tehran and Washington had held five rounds of indirect talks on Iran’s nuclear program before Israel unleashed a war on the Islamic Republic.
Mediated by Oman, the 6th round of talks was planned to be held in Muscat, but was called off due to the Israeli onslaught.

Instead of condemning the terror act, the US attacked three Iranian nuclear facilities—an action which was described by Tehran as betrayal to diplomacy.

In recent weeks, the United States has increased its military presence in the Middle East, deploying the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, additional guided-missile destroyers and advanced air defense systems. The significant American military buildup in the West Asia region concomitant with repeated threats issued by President Donald Trump of staging fresh military onslaught against Iran.

Iranian officials have reiterated Tehran’s opposition to wars and tensions, but emphasized that the Islamic Republic is determined to defend itself against onslaught. Tehran has stressed it doesn't seek war, but is totally prepared for it, and is also ready for negotiations based on mutual respect.

Pezeshkian added that the Iranian nation has always responded to the language of respect reciprocally, yet it never endures the language of force.
