Israeli Incursion into Quneitra Marks New Breach of Syrian Sovereignty
SANA news agency reported that Israeli occupation forces advanced into Saida Al-Hanout and set up a checkpoint at its western entrance.

“An Israeli force composed of three Hummer military vehicles entered the village, set up a checkpoint at its western entrance, searched passersby and disrupted movement for a period before withdrawing from the area,” the Syrian news agency reported.

The attack came a day after Israeli forces entered Ofania village in Quneitra countryside on Wednesday evening, while firing flare bombs and artillery shells toward the vicinity of Tal Al-Ahmar and Ain Al-Nouriya in northern Quneitra countryside.

‘Israel’ continues its violations of Syria sovereignty through incursions into southern Syrian territory and actions against residents, including raids, arrests and land bulldozing.

Since December 2024, the Zionist entity has carried out over 1,000 airstrikes on Syria and more than 400 cross-border raids into the southern provinces.

After the fall of former president Bashar al-Assad’s regime in late 2024, the Zionist entity expanded its occupation of the Syrian Golan Heights by seizing the demilitarized buffer zone, a move that violated a 1974 agreement with Syria.
