Iran, China, and Russia Hold Meeting Over Nuclear Issues

Iran, Russia and China have always had trilateral consultations over various issues; Iran's nuclear issue tops them.

The ambassadors from Iran, China, and Russia in Vienna have held a trilateral meeting to align their positions on topics for the upcoming session of the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Board of Governors.

The upcoming session of the Board of Governors is scheduled to take place from November 19 to 21 at the Vienna International Centre. This session will focus on Iran exclusively within the context of the Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement. This change follows the completion of the Agency’s mission related to UN Security Council Resolution 2231.

In a message on his X account late Wednesday, Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, said, “Today, China, Iran, and Russia held another round of traditional trilateral consultations regarding the Iranian nuclear dossier.”
