Iran's Security Chief Mocks US War Secretary: Your Leaders on ‘Epstein Island’

Larijani ridiculed the Pentagon chief’s claim that Iranian leaders are hiding “like rats”, highlighting that several top officials, including President Masoud Pezeshkian, made public appearances at a rally in Tehran.

On Friday, millions of Iranians rallied in Tehran and different cities across the country in defiance of US-Israeli attacks and threats in order to mark the International Quds Day. Top Iranian officials also attended a rally in Tehran on Friday, near which military attacks took place.

The aggressors targeted different areas in Tehran adjacent to the demonstrators. Falling shrapnel martyred a woman in one of the attacks that targeted an area adjacent to Enqelab Street.

Protesters in Tehran stood strong in the face of cowardly bombardments, chanting "Allahu Akbar" (God is Great) and "Death to America" and "Death to Israel".

“Mr. Hegseth! Our leaders have been, and still are, among the people. But your leaders? On Epstein’s island!” the top official wrote on X on‌ Friday, referring to the late sex offender who had close ties to rich and powerful people in the US, including President Donald Trump.
