Iranian President: US, Israel Seeking to Disintegrate Muslim Countries
During a phone call with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el‑Sisi on Friday, Pezeshkian said the United States and the Israeli regime are seeking to weaken and fragment major Islamic countries,

He warned that Washington and Tel Aviv do not tolerate the presence of strong regional powers such as Iran, Egypt, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

Tehran had been engaged in negotiations when it was again subjected to military attacks, the president added, arguing that the incidents showed Washington was not seeking a genuine resolution.

He stated that the United States and the Israeli regime pursue malicious objectives aimed at weakening and breaking up Iran and other major Islamic countries. At the same time, he stressed that Iran has no dispute with Islamic nations, describing them as brothers, but said Tehran would exercise its right to self‑defense if attacks were launched from bases used by its adversaries.

Pezeshkian also called on Islamic countries to remain vigilant against attempts to create divisions within the Muslim world. He welcomed any initiatives by regional states to strengthen unity, restore stability and security and promote peace.

In late February, the United States and the Israeli regime conducted their unprovoked military onslaught on Iran. Former Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei was assassinated in the first wave of strikes.

The raids also led to the martyrdom of more than 1,300 civilians, including women and children, as well as military commanders.

Iran began to swiftly retaliate against the aggression by launching barrages of missile and drone attacks on the Israeli-occupied territories as well as on the US bases in regional countries. Iran has repeatedly emphasized that it only targets American assets and bases in the region and does not seek conflict with Arab countries.

President el‑Sisi, for his part, expressed condolences over the martyrdom of Iranian citizens and reiterated Egypt’s opposition to war, instability and insecurity in the region.

He stressed the importance of resolving disputes through diplomacy and warned that continued conflict could threaten regional and global stability and security, urging all parties to exercise restraint.
