'Israel' Killed 47 Women, Girls Daily in Gaza amid Genocide: UN Women

Story Code : 1275336
More than 38,000 women and girls have been martyred in Gaza between October 2023 and December 2025, averaging at least 47 deaths per day, according to a report released by UN Women, which warned that these arbitrary murders have continued despite a ceasefire.

The agency said women and girls accounted for a significantly higher proportion of deaths compared to previous Israeli wars on Gaza, highlighting the severe human toll of the war on civilians.

“Women and girls accounted for a proportion of deaths far higher than those observed in previous conflicts in Gaza,” said Sofia Calltorp, UN Women’s humanitarian action head.

“They were individuals with lives and with dreams."

The report noted that violence has continued even after an October ceasefire halted two years of full-scale war, though the exact number of women and girls killed since then remains unclear due to a lack of gender-disaggregated data.

The ceasefire left Israeli forces in control of a largely depopulated zone covering more than half of Gaza.

Displacement and humanitarian crisis deepen

UN Women estimated that around one million women and girls remain displaced across Gaza, facing worsening humanitarian conditions.

“Extensive damage to infrastructure has made it almost impossible for women and girls in Gaza to access their basic needs, like healthcare,” Calltorp said.

Figures from the World Health Organization show that more than 500,000 women lack access to essential health services, including antenatal and postnatal care.

Meanwhile, UNICEF reported that children continue to be killed and injured at an alarming rate, with at least 214 deaths recorded in the six months following the ceasefire.

Gaza horror continues: 6 killed, including 2 children, in IOF aggression

As of April 16, 2026, Gaza's Health Ministry reported that since the ceasefire on October 11, the total number of martyrs stands at 766, in addition to 2,147 injuries. Moreover, 760 bodies have been recovered.

The cumulative death toll since the outset of the aggression on October 7, 2023, is 72,345, in addition to 172,250 injuries.

In over 6 months of violations, Israeli occupation forces continue to breach the ceasefire agreement that came into effect on October 11, 2025, in the Gaza Strip, amid the ongoing aggression.

On a day that reflects the gravity of the ceasefire breaches, "Israel" killed at least six Palestinians, including two children,  on Tuesday in an aggression across multiple areas of the Gaza Strip, according to health officials in the enclave.

In detail, four Palestinians were killed, among them a child and a police officer, in an Israeli strike targeting a police vehicle in Gaza City, the Interior Ministry said. Nine bystanders were also injured, some in critical condition.

In a separate incident, one person was killed and transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital after an attack on the al-Alami area in the Beit Lahia project in northern Gaza. Meanwhile, heavy Israeli gunfire was reported in eastern Khan Younis in the south of the enclave, amid continued Israeli aggression.
