Seven Palestinians Killed by Continued Israeli Violations of Ceasefire
Seven people were killed and 24 others injured over the past 24 hours as a result of ongoing Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, the Gaza Ministry of Health announced on Sunday.

The ministry reported that continued assaults by Israeli forces caused the casualties, as it continues to violate the ceasefire agreement in Gaza for 191 consecutive days.

The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that one person was killed on Saturday evening after being shot by Israeli forces in northern Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.

In a separate incident, a child was injured by Israeli gunfire in the al-Iqleemi area of al-Mawasi, Rafah, an area densely populated with displaced civilians.

'Israel' still breaching ceasefire agreements

Local authorities stated that Israeli forces continue to breach the ceasefire agreement through concentrated airstrikes and artillery shelling targeting areas where displaced civilians are gathered. They also reported ongoing demolition operations and the destruction of buildings inside the so-called “yellow line” zone.

These developments come alongside continued restrictions imposed on the entry of goods and humanitarian aid, as well as limits on the movement of wounded and sick individuals seeking medical treatment abroad, further worsening living conditions in the besieged enclave.

According to cumulative figures from the ongoing war in Gaza since October 7, 2023, the death toll has reached 72,336, while 172,213 people have been injured, amid what local officials describe as catastrophic humanitarian and health conditions facing the population.

Israeli breaches of the ceasefire continue with complete impunity

Figures released by the Gaza Government Media Office report widespread Israeli breaches of the truce and continued restrictions on humanitarian aid.

More than six months after a ceasefire came into effect on October 10, 2025, the Gaza Government Media Office said that Israeli occupation forces have committed 2,400 violations of the agreement, resulting in 754 deaths and 2,100 injuries.

In a statement issued on April 14, the office described the violations as “serious and systematic” breaches of the ceasefire and accompanying humanitarian protocol. It said the violations included gunfire incidents, bombardments, and the demolition of residential structures.

According to the breakdown provided, the reported violations include 921 incidents of gunfire, 1,109 bombardment or targeting incidents, 97 cases of military vehicles entering residential areas, and 273 demolitions of homes and other buildings.

99% killed were civilians

The statement said that the 754 fatalities included 312 children, women, and elderly individuals, adding that 99% of those killed were civilians. It also reported 2,100 injuries, with more than 1,096 of the wounded said to be from vulnerable groups. All injuries, it said, occurred within residential areas outside what it described as the “yellow line” demarcation zone.

The office further reported 50 detentions, saying Palestinians were taken from residential neighborhoods during the same period.

The Gaza Government Media Office also said the Rafah crossing has operated significantly below agreed levels since its partial reopening on February 2, 2026. It reported a total of 2,703 crossings, including 1,479 exits and 1,224 entries, while 26 individuals were denied passage. The office said this represents around 7% of expected movement under the agreement.

Regarding humanitarian assistance, it stated that 41,714 aid, commercial, and fuel trucks entered Gaza over the six-month period, compared with an expected 110,400 under the ceasefire framework—equivalent to 37% compliance.

It added that fuel deliveries were particularly limited, with 1,366 trucks entering Gaza against an expected 9,200 during the same timeframe.
