Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of raids and home searches across the occupied West Bank on Sunday, detaining multiple Palestinians in coordinated aggression across several governorates.
In Qalqilya, eight Palestinians were detained after troops deployed in the al-Nuqur neighborhood, as well as the al-Safha and northern areas, where they stormed and searched several Palestinian homes. Among those detained were Mohammed al-Nis, Alaa Zaki Majd, Majdi Zaki Majd, Bara’a Adel Majd, and Adam Farouq Shbeita, according to local sources.
In the town of Azzun, Israeli occupation forces raided multiple neighborhoods and detained Seyed Bari, Zaid Bari, and Amjad Sawan following house searches and military deployment across the area.
In the western Ramallah area, Israeli forces arrested university student Abdullah Hisham Riyahi from the village of Rantis in the early hours of Sunday, as part of ongoing overnight raids across the region.
Settler violence on the rise
Separately, settlers set fire to a home and a vehicle in the town of Turmus Ayya, northeast of Ramallah. Local sources reported that dozens of settlers stormed the town from the eastern side, torching the house of resident Asaad Tufaha and a vehicle belonging to Ratib al-Khatib, before residents confronted them and forced them to withdraw. No injuries were reported.
According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Israeli forces and settlers carried out a total of 1,819 attacks during March, describing a continued and systematic pattern of violence against Palestinians and their property.
The commission said the army was responsible for 1,322 incidents, while settlers carried out 497, with the highest concentration recorded in al-Khalil, Nablus, Ramallah, al-Bireh, and occupied al-Quds, highlighting the escalating aggression across multiple areas.
