Ranking Commander Emphasizes US Defeat in War Against Iran
Referring to the wars in Vietnam and Venezuela, Sayyari said Washington was able to achieve its goals there through assassination, coup and sabotage.

However, he added America, for all its equipment and defense capabilities, will be defeated in the war against Iran due to the bravery and steadfastness of the Iranian Armed Forces and the support of the nation, who are always on the scene, and this will remain in history.

The United States and Israel unleashed a war on Iran in late February, assassinating Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and several military commanders and officials, and attacking nuclear facilities, civilian sites, schools and hospitals across the country.

Iran’s Armed Forces responded with 100 waves of retaliatory operations under Operation True Promise 4, firing hundreds of ballistic and hypersonic missiles, as well as drones, against American military bases across West Asia and Israeli positions throughout the occupied territories.

Forty days into the war, a Pakistan-mediated ceasefire went into effect but Washington-Tehran negotiations in Islamabad failed to reach an accord due to excessive demands and shifting goalposts by the American delegation.

Iran has ruled out returning to talks as long as the US refused to meet its conditions, including cessation of offensive on all fronts and removal of the blockade. Later, the truce was unilaterally extended by Washington without a set deadline.

Despite the ceasefire, Washington keeps highlighting a naval blockade of Iranian ports. Tehran considers it illegal under international law and a clear violation of the truce.

The United States has also threatened further military action, while its officials have issued contradictory statements about their commitment to diplomacy.

Iranian officials have warned that any new onslaught will be met with a far more crushing and devastating response than before.
