Yemen's Acting PM Hails Iran's Support in Ending Blockade

Speaking at a rally in Sana’a on Friday, Miftah said Yemen's leadership remains committed to ending the blockade and warned that any attempts to obstruct that objective would have consequences.

He said Yemen has multiple options to defend its rights and vowed that the Arab country would continue efforts to restore normal access to its territory and assert its sovereignty despite the challenges involved.

The acting prime minister also warned against any actions targeting Yemen's airports or civilian air traffic, saying such measures would provoke a response.

Miftah expressed appreciation to Iran for its support, thanking the Iranian government and people for their role in helping challenge the blockade.

He specifically referred to the recent arrival of an Iranian aircraft at Sana’a International Airport despite threats, calling it a significant gesture of support. He added that Iranian officials have assured Yemen they would stand by the Arab country in efforts to end the air and maritime blockade.

Miftah also reiterated Yemen's continued support for the Palestinian people in Gaza, saying its position on the issue remains unchanged.

Martyred Leader’s Pure Blood A Motivation for Continuation of Resistance: Yemeni Officials

Members of the high-ranking Yemeni delegation who took part in the farewell and funeral ceremonies in Tehran stressed that the pure blood strengthens the determination of the resistance to achieve final victory.

They noted that their participation in the funeral ceremony comes as an expression of loyalty and gratitude to the martyred Imam, for the role he played in supporting the ideals of the Muslim Ummah and in helping the Yemeni people during the Saudi-led aggression, backed by the United States, against their country, Press TV reported.

They stressed that the martyred leader has become a symbol for the Muslim Ummah and the path of resistance in confronting hegemonic projects, adding that his pure blood will be a motivation to continue the path of resistance until its goals are “fully achieved.”

“The sacrifices and martyrdom of the leaders of the axis of resistance will only strengthen our determination to persist and resist,” they added.

The Yemeni delegation emphasized that the martyred leader dedicated his life to the advancement of the Muslim Ummah and defending its ideals.

“He, through his stances, was able to create an unprecedented level of steadfastness and unity within the axis of resistance, both during his lifetime and after his martyrdom; because his life became a source of inspiration for resistance forces in various arenas.”

Referring to the martyred leader’s “unparalleled” role in strengthening the capabilities of the project of resistance, the delegation said the current achievements “of the resistance against the American-Zionist enemy are the fruit of this approach.”

The Yemeni delegation noted that the members of the axis of resistance are more united than ever and constitute a single entity in confronting US-Zionist projects.

“We are confident that in the next phase, we will witness further developments in favor of the peoples of the region, and that the hegemonic projects of the American-Zionist axis will have no other destiny than to collapse.”

The delegation stressed the depth of relations between Yemen and the Islamic Republic, which are “based on the principle of brotherhood and cooperation in confronting the forces of arrogance”, and highlighted the two countries’ common stance on the issues related to the Muslim nation, primarily the Palestinian cause and confronting the American-Zionist dominance.

On Friday, Iran began the farewell and funeral ceremonies for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, who was assassinated in a cowardly US-Israeli strike on the opening day of the recent 40-day war on February 28, with foreign dignitaries and religious figures paying their respects at Tehran's Grand Mosalla.

Sanaa Vows to End “Aggression”, Lift Yemen Blockade

In a statement, the ministry added that Yemen remains in the early stages of breaking the blockade, calling on "the Saudi regime to recognize the seriousness of the Armed Forces' statement regarding the restoration of Yemen's rights."

In this context, it denied Saudi claims that Sanaa had rejected the peace roadmap negotiated between the two sides under Omani mediation, asserting that it had approved the roadmap repeatedly and on several occasions.

Furthermore, the Ministry said that "if the Saudi regime claims the roadmap is ready, then it must move quickly to sign and implement it immediately, without delay or procrastination."

At the same time, it stressed that Saudi claims of supporting the roadmap were contradicted by its objection to the return of stranded Yemeni citizens through Sanaa International Airport.

Moreover, it argued that the Saudi government remains responsible for the continued blockade on Yemen's airports and seaports, as well as for obstructing salary payments and perpetuating the country's economic and humanitarian suffering, despite the terms outlined in the roadmap.

The ministry also described it as "strange" that Saudi Arabia would portray the return of stranded Yemeni citizens and the travel of patients through Sanaa International Airport as "a violation of Yemen's sovereignty or a threat to the Kingdom's security."

Reiterating its position, it said the "Saudi regime is not a neutral party," but the party that declared and continues the war.

Addressing the conflict, the ministry said the Saudi government "continues to sponsor all hostile activities, occupies large parts of Yemen, and coordinates the roles of its proxy forces," adding that it has carried out more than 250,000 airstrikes.

According to the statement, the Saudi-led campaign "spared nothing connected to civilian life, not even cemeteries, and has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Yemenis."

The ministry said Saudi Arabia’s reliance on US-"Israeli" aggression to avoid peace commitments and reassert control over Yemen has failed, adding that its criticism of Yemen’s support for Gaza reflects alignment with the "Israeli" occupation. It urged Riyadh to focus on its domestic assets and Vision 2030 projects.

In response to recent events, the ministry rejected Saudi claims of sovereignty defense and warned of escalation risks following attempts to block civilian flights.

It cautioned that further steps could destabilize the region and harm the global economy, urging Saudi Arabia to abandon failed policies and warning it would bear full responsibility for any “hostile actions,” including those involving “Zionist” partners.

Earlier, the Saudi-led coalition warned of a “firm response” to threats against its territory amid escalating tensions over Yemeni airspace.

Meanwhile on the ground, tensions around Sanaa International Airport come amid a long-standing air blockade on Yemen.

At the same time, a rally called for lifting restrictions, backing the Yemeni Armed Forces and praising Iran’s role, while officials said reopening the airport is a legitimate right and urged full resumption of flights.

Notably, an Iranian civilian aircraft landed in Sanaa carrying over 200 Yemeni passengers, described by local authorities as a breakthrough against a years-long air blockade imposed since 2016.

Despite limited exemptions and brief UN-mediated easing, the restrictions have continued to severely impact civilian travel and humanitarian access.

During an interview on Sunday, Mohammed al-Bukhaiti said Ayatollah Khamenei’s influence extended far beyond Iran’s borders.

He described the martyred Leader as a symbol of resistance and freedom for nations seeking independence from American and Zionist domination.

“His intellectual and political vision across the Islamic world, together with his efforts to liberate Palestine, were among the main reasons the West became determined to assassinate him,” al-Bukhaiti said.

He added that the martyred Leader’s legacy would continue to inspire people striving for dignity, sovereignty, and resistance, saying his name and memory would remain a source of inspiration for future generations.

Ayatollah Khamenei was martyred following the launch of the latest round of unprovoked US-Israeli aggression against Iran on February 28, triggering widespread condemnation from Iran and its allies.

Millions of Iranians and supporters of the Axis of Resistance across the region mourned his martyrdom, holding ceremonies and tributes in his honor.

On Friday, heads of state, senior officials, religious leaders, and other international dignitaries paid tribute to the martyred Leader during official ceremonies in Tehran.

The farewell ceremony for the martyred Leader began early Saturday at the Grand Imam Khomeini Mosalla and will continue through Sunday.

The main funeral procession in Tehran is scheduled for Monday, followed by ceremonies in Qom on Tuesday and special farewell and funeral ceremonies in the holy Iraqi cities of Najaf and Karbala on Wednesday.

Yemenis Appreciate Iran’s Help in Breaking Sanaa Airport Siege

A huge crowd of Yemenis packed Al-Sabeen Square in the capital on Friday evening in a mass rally expressing profound gratitude to the Islamic Republic of Iran for breaking the brutal 11‑year siege on Sanaa International Airport, as Yemeni air defenses successfully intercepted Saudi warplanes that attempted to block an Iranian civilian flight carrying over 200 sick and wounded passengers.

The rally, held in support of the Yemeni armed forces and their recent declaration on breaking the siege, saw participants chant slogans affirming their steadfastness with Gaza and Palestine and their full readiness to implement the directives of Ansarullah leader Sayed Abdul‑Malik al‑Houthi.

The crowds expressed deep appreciation for Iran’s humanitarian initiative in facilitating the transfer of patients, the wounded and stranded civilians, reaffirming Islamic brotherhood within the axis of jihad and resistance, Press TV reported.

“Today, Yemen’s skies witnessed two contrasting scenes,” said Yemen’s Deputy Foreign Minister Abdulwahid Abu Ras. “The first was a civilian aircraft carrying patients, wounded people, humanitarian cases, and official delegations. The second was warplanes carrying bombs and missiles to kill Yemenis and destroy infrastructure”.

He added that the event demonstrated Yemen’s “steadfastness, resilience, military capability, and high combat readiness, marking the beginning of a new phase of reclaiming rights”.

The rally came hours after Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced that at 5:20 AM on Friday, a formation of Saudi coalition warplanes violated Yemeni airspace in an attempt to prevent an Iranian civilian aircraft from landing at Sanaa International Airport.

The plane was carrying more than 200 stranded, wounded and sick Yemeni citizens.

Yemeni air defense forces fired “a number of air defense missiles,” forcing the Saudi warplanes to leave Yemeni airspace.

Saree warned Saudi Arabia against repeating any violation of Yemeni airspace, threatening a “comprehensive response” that would target Saudi airports and vital interests on land and sea.

Saree declared that flights between Sanaa and Tehran “will continue, regardless of any consequences, to break the siege and alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people”.

He stressed that Yemen’s armed forces “will not accept the continuation of the unjust Saudi‑American blockade indefinitely” and that all units are fully prepared to implement any decision made by the Ansarullah leadership.

Sanaa International Airport has been under a crippling Saudi‑American blockade for nearly 11 years.

The Iranian flight’s successful landing marked a major breach of that siege.

Iran’s initiative also enabled the transport of official and public delegations traveling to Tehran for the funeral ceremonies of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.

Yemen Missiles Chase Saudi Jets From Iranian Plane

The failed Saudi interception—a brazen violation of Yemeni airspace and international aviation norms—demonstrates Riyadh's continued hostility toward both the Yemeni people and the Islamic Republic of Iran, while Yemen's successful defense proves that the axis of resistance has achieved credible air defense capabilities against aggressors.

As the U.S. and its regional allies intensify their proxy war against Iran and the resistance front, Riyadh's attempt to block a civilian humanitarian flight—carrying wounded patients—exposes the true nature of Saudi policy: collective punishment of Yemen's besieged population. The incident also underscores the deepening strategic coordination between Tehran and Sanaa, with Iran's civilian aviation infrastructure serving as a lifeline for the Yemeni people.

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for Yemen's armed forces, announced in a statement that Saudi warplanes had violated Yemeni airspace early this morning at 5:20 AM, attempting to prevent the Iranian passenger plane from landing. He confirmed that Yemeni air defense forces targeted the aggressor jets with multiple missiles, forcing them to withdraw from Yemeni airspace.

Saudi officials have not issued any official response regarding the incident, maintaining their pattern of silence when confronted with failed military operations against Yemen and the resistance axis.

· Yemeni air defense forces intercepted and targeted the Saudi jets with missiles.
· The aggression was repelled, and the Iranian plane successfully landed.

The fact that Iran's civilian aircraft continues to serve as a bridge to the Yemeni people, despite U.S. and Saudi efforts to isolate the resistance, demonstrates the Islamic Republic's commitment to humanitarian solidarity with oppressed nations.

In a statement, the association described the agreement as a “great betrayal and supreme act of treason,” strongly denouncing the Lebanese government's decision to proceed with it.

The association praised Hezbollah’s position in continuing to resist the “Israeli” occupation, describing the movement as steadfast in confronting the occupation despite political developments.

It also condemned continued “Israeli” incursions into Syria, criticizing what it described as the silence of the armed groups controlling the country, as well as the broader silence of Arab and Islamic states regarding developments in Gaza and the occupied West Bank. The association characterized this silence as “a major crime no less serious than the crime of genocide.”

Calling for broader regional action, the statement urged members of the Islamic nation to raise their voices, organize protests, and support the Axis of Resistance, which it described as “the manifest face of the nation.”

The Yemeni Scholars Association also praised what it called the steadfastness and achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran, affirming that the principle of the “unity of arenas” is “an Islamic principle, not a political issue.”

In a speech marking the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon them), Sayyed Abdulmalik praised the "broad popular movement and large tribal vigils" as affirmations of this resolve.

He called upon Yemenis to "align ranks, maintain internal front cohesion, strengthen the spirit of public mobilization, cooperate in righteousness and piety, and continue with activity and interest in community initiatives and general mobilization."

Regional Concerns: Israeli Presence in Somalia

Addressing regional affairs, the leader stated that there is "ongoing monitoring and close follow-up" of developments in Somaliland and the enemy's efforts to transform it into a foothold aimed at controlling the Gulf of Aden, Bab al-Mandab, and the Red Sea.

He urged the Islamic nation and Red Sea-adjacent countries to adopt a "unified position" to prevent the enemy from achieving this goal. Sayyed Abdulmalik affirmed that "Yemen will not stand idly by regarding any Israeli positioning in Somaliland, nor will it wait for the negligent. It will take the initiative at any time the enemy establishes any positioning to target it with all available means."

He also called upon governments to "rectify the situation in Somalia, care for the brotherly Somali people, and support them in confronting the Israeli enemy's targeting."

Iran's Victory: A Triumph for the Entire Axis

The leader congratulated the Islamic Republic of Iran on its "victory over the enemies—America and Israel," affirming that "this victory represents an important victory for the entire Axis of Jihad and Resistance and al-Quds, and for the entire nation, in an important round of confrontation with the enemies."

He noted that "coordination continues within the Axis of Jihad regarding any new round," affirming that "Yemen will not hesitate in jihad for the sake of God and in confronting the enemies of the nation in any escalation they undertake in any arena, foremost among them Gaza."

Steadfastness on Faith-Based Path

Sayyed Abdulmalik affirmed the "steadfastness of the Yemeni people, stemming from their faith-based identity, on their faith-based, liberation-oriented, jihadist, and Quranic path in confronting the enemies of Islam and Muslims—foremost among them America and Israel—and in adhering to the nation's great causes, foremost among them the Palestinian cause and all that pertains to its people and sanctities."

In recent addresses, the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, emphasized that Saudi Arabia has historically interfered to block oil exploration and extraction in resource-rich provinces such as Ma'rib, Al-Mahrah, and Al-Jawf. He stated that this policy aims to keep Yemen economically dependent and compliant.

Furthermore, historical diplomatic assessments, including statements from former US ambassadors, have long recognized Yemen as a "virgin territory" possessing untapped mineral and energy reserve.

As the aggression transitions into a critical phase, the Sana'a authorities have reiterated that the current status quo is unsustainable. They maintain that the restoration of Yemen's sovereign oil and gas rights, alongside full financial compensation for the country's decade-long economic losses, remains a non-negotiable prerequisite for any lasting peace settlement.
